About the Role 

We are looking for an experienced Import and Export Operator to join our growing Sydney team. This role is hands-on and suited to someone who enjoys end-to-end freight operations, strong customer relationships and being part of a supportive, fast-paced environment. 

Australian citizens and permanent residents only are eligible to apply for this position. 

You will manage import and export shipments across air and sea, working closely with customers, overseas agents, carriers and internal teams to ensure smooth and compliant movements. 

Key responsibilities 

• End-to-end management of import and export air and sea freight shipments 

• Coordinating bookings with shipping lines, airlines and overseas agents 

• Preparing and checking shipping documentation, including bills of lading, FTA, manifest and customs paperwork 

• Liaising with customs brokers, transport providers and warehouses 

• Providing clear and proactive updates to customers 

• Ensuring compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements 

• Supporting the wider operations team as required 

About you 

• Previous experience in an import and export freight forwarding role 

• Experience in sea & air operations; cartage an advantage 

• Strong knowledge of air and sea freight processes 

• Confident communicator with a customer-focused approach 

• High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple shipments at once 

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment 

• Cargowise experience preferred but not essential
