The Clinical Coding Manager plays a pivotal leadership role within the Health Information team, ensuring a skilled, sustainable, and high-performing clinical coding workforce that meets organisational demand and delivers optimal outcomes. This position is responsible for driving effective operational and resource management practices to provide an efficient, consistent, and sustainable clinical coding service across the organisation.
We Are Actively Seeking Candidates Who Can Demonstrate
Extensive knowledge of clinical coding standards, classifications, and reporting requirements, ensuring compliance and support for Activity Based Funding/Management outcomes.Experience auditing and analysing medical records to ensure accurate clinical documentation, high-quality coding practices, and appropriate funding allocation.Strong leadership and workforce management skills, including the ability to coordinate workflows, monitor performance against deadlines, and report on key performance indicators.Experience directing, coordinating, and providing academic supervision and support to undergraduate and postgraduate Health Information Management students.A commitment to quality, ethical standards, continuous improvement, and service excellence within clinical coding operations.Proven ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and contribute to strategic workforce planning and service sustainability.
