About the role
We are a 15 person financial planning firm based near the Queen Victoria Building / Town Hall Station, Sydney (CBD).
Our clients are mainly time-poor, white collar professionals; and we provide holistic financial advice (on areas such as investments, private equity, cash flow, wealth creation, tax planning, risk strategies, superannuation, insurance, etc).
We are offering an unpaid 3-month part-time (2- 3 days a week) internship to the right candidate to join our team in an entry level position, which will provide the successful applicant with relevant experience in the field of financial planning, through practical applications of their theoretical studies, and a brief overview and exposure to all aspects of the entire financial planning workflow (from client meetings, portfolio construction to back office functions).
It is an exciting opportunity to gain practical experience in all aspects of a fast paced commercial financial planning business with the potential for part or full-time employment at the end.
We are looking for a candidate who will be available during normal business hours (3 days a week, 9am - 5:30pm) at our Sydney CBD practice.
This would be a great experience for a student in Commerce, economics, business studies or applied finance or if you are completing a Diploma of Financial Planning or related degree in financial services - financial planning.
The ideal candidate will possess a high level of written and verbal English, as well as be able to demonstrate a keen interest in the financial planning industry (through general knowledge, or by completing relevant studies).
Applicants must also have full, ongoing, and unrestricted working rights in Australia.
The successful candidate for the internship will be offered a paid Associate Financial Advisor position near or at the end of the internship subject to suitability criteria such as cultural fit, skills level gained during the internship and availability.
