Foreman

We have an exciting opportunity for a Foreman to join the team at Caulfield Racecourse on a full-time basis.
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll work alongside a passionate crew to keep our racing and training tracks performing at their best, lead day-to-day operations, operate specialised machinery, and play an important part in delivering exceptional race days and training experiences.

In The SaddleMaintaining racing and training tracks to meet Racing Victoria standardsSupporting turf management activities including mowing, irrigation, fertilising, aeration and general track repairsAssist with race day preparations, including barrier placement, track crossings, and surface inspectionsProvide hands-on support during trials, jump-outs, and daily training operationsSupervise staff and contractors, ensuring safe and high-quality work while supporting the development of junior team membersOperating and maintaining a range of specialised turf machinery and equipment
Your Track RecordQualifications in Turf Management, Horticulture, Agronomy, or a related field (desirable)Strong knowledge of turf and track surface managementExperience working within a racing club or governing body (desirable)Excellent communication skillsA strong focus on safety, quality and attention to detailValid Driver’s Licence
