Installations & Service Technician

About the role

Acorn Stairlifts is seeking a skilled and reliable Installations & Service Technician to join our growing team. This is a full-time position based in O'Connor, WA. In this role, you will be responsible for the professional installation, maintenance, and servicing of stairlifts and mobility solutions for our valued customers. You will be the face of Acorn Stairlifts in customers' homes, ensuring every installation and service visit meets our high standards of quality and customer care. This position is critical to maintaining our reputation for excellence and ensuring customer satisfaction across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Install stairlifts in residential and commercial properties, following all manufacturer specifications and safety standards

• Conduct thorough pre-installation assessments to evaluate site conditions and advise customers on suitable solutions

• Perform routine maintenance and servicing of installed stairlifts to ensure optimal performance and safety

• Respond to customer service calls and troubleshoot mechanical issues

• Maintain accurate records of all installations, servicing work, and customer interactions

• Ensure all work sites are left clean and tidy, with minimal disruption to customers

• Comply with all work health and safety regulations and work practices

• Communicate professionally with customers, explaining technical information in an understandable manner

• Transport equipment and tools safely to customer locations

What we're looking for

• Experience in installations, maintenance, or servicing of mechanical or electrical equipment

• Demonstrated experience in a hands-on technical role within the trades and services industry

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship

• Valid driver's licence

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally

• Physical capability to lift, carry, and manoeuvre equipment and tools regularly

• Reliability, punctuality, and a professional approach to work

• Experience with mobility equipment or assistive technology would be desirable
