ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH & SAFETY MANAGER

A Major Project Delivery Partner construction group with a strong forward pipeline is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environment Manager to join its delivery team on a midrise multi tower residential development in Kangaroo Point. This is a newly created role, established to strengthen site safety performance across the company across multiple projects, with an immediate focus on formwork and structural works within a self-perform environment.

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager and managing a WHSO team, this role will be responsible for driving best-practice safety outcomes across site, ensuring compliance, and uplifting safety culture across all work fronts. We need a strategic thinker!

Key Responsibilities

• Implementation and enforcement of WHS systems and site safety compliance.
• Driving formwork safety standards across all structural activities for the project.
• Conducting site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Leading incident investigations and implementing corrective actions.
• Coaching supervisors and trades to improve safety behaviours and accountability.
• Monitoring compliance with WHS legislation, codes, and project requirements.
• Reporting safety performance, risks, and initiatives to project leadership.

Technical & Experience Requirements

• Qualifications in Workplace, Health in Safety with demonstrated experience in a comparable role within construction environments.
• Strong understanding of formwork and structural safety risks.
• Experience working on mid to high-rise or complex construction projects.
• Exposure to or experience with self-performed works (highly regarded).
• Strong working knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and site compliance requirements.
• Ability to influence, engage, and hold site teams accountable.
