Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Test Lead to join a long-term program based in Melbourne. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test leadership while remaining hands-on in test design, test execution, and overall test management activities. This role requires someone who can effectively lead a team, engage with stakeholders, and ensure high-quality delivery across the testing lifecycle.
Mandatory Requirements* Australian Citizenship (Mandatory)* Minimum 8+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.* Proven experience leading and mentoring testing teams.* Strong hands-on experience in:* Test Planning & Test Strategy* Test Design* Test Execution* Defect Management* Test Reporting & Metrics* End-to-end Test Management* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.* Ability to coordinate across business and technical teams to deliver quality outcomes.
Preferred Skills* Baseline Security Clearance (Highly desirable)* Experience in the Insurance domain (Preferred)* Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Good to have)* Experience with ServiceNow (Good to have)
Key Responsibilities* Lead and mentor a team of testers across the project lifecycle.* Prepare test strategy, test plans, and estimation.* Design, review, and execute functional and integration test cases.* Manage test execution, defect triage, and reporting.* Coordinate with business stakeholders, developers, and project managers.* Track testing progress, risks, issues, and provide regular status reports.* Ensure quality standards, testing best practices, and governance are followed.* Support release planning and go-live activities where required.
Required Skills & Experience* 8+ years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance.* Strong leadership experience in Test Lead or Senior Test Analyst roles.* Hands-on experience across the complete Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable* Insurance industry experience.* Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience.* ServiceNow experience.* Baseline Security Clearance.
