Monarch is seeking a Welder / Fabricator to join our Brisbane workshop team.

We are not a high-volume production shop making the same item every day. We design, manufacture, modify, and repair a very custom range of industrial products, including filtration equipment, strainers, screens, housings, pipework-related components, sheet metal items, and general engineered assemblies. Our workshop supports both one-off custom jobs and short production runs for industrial clients. We are looking first and foremost for a person with the right attitude and aptitude.

Experience is valuable, but we will also consider someone with limited experience who is practical, switched on, willing to learn, and genuinely interested in building a long-term role with us.

About The Role

This is a hands-on workshop role involving a mix of:

Welding and fabricationSheet metal work and formed componentsAssembly of custom industrial productsRepair and modification workWorking from drawings, samples, and marked-up instructionsSupporting the manufacture of custom filtration and engineering products

Our workshop work can include MIG and TIG welding, custom fabrication, and manufacturing support across a broad range of industrial jobs.

Experience We Would Value

Welding and fabrication experienceExperience with sheet metal, light to medium fabrication, or workshop assemblyAbility to read workshop drawingsExperience using general fabrication equipment and hand toolsForklift licence or other practical workshop skills would be an advantage
