Are you passionate about helping older adults stay strong, mobile, and independent?

Summit Health Solutions is seeking a compassionate and motivated Allied Health Assistant (Physio/Exercise) to deliver personalised in-home exercise programs under the direction of our physiotherapists. This position has the potential to move into Part-Time, Full-Time.

This is more than an exercise role.

Improving balance.

Reducing falls.

And helping older Australians feel safe and capable in their own homes.

About the role

As an Allied Health Assistant, you will:

✔ Deliver safe, 1:1 in-home exercise sessions following Allied Health Professional-designed programs

✔ Support strength, balance, mobility, stretching, and functional activities

✔ Complete clear, same-day clinical documentation

✔ Communicate progress and concerns to the supervising physiotherapist

You will work within a clear scope of practice and play a vital role in delivering high-quality, client-centred allied health services across the community.

What a Typical Day Looks Like

• Before You Arrive

You prepare by reviewing your client’s plan so you can show up confident, calm, and ready to support them.

• In the Home

You check in on their wellbeing and create a safe space to move.

You guide gentle warm-ups, strength and balance exercises, and functional movements that build confidence.

You watch closely, adapt thoughtfully, and celebrate progress — big or small.

• After the Visit

You document clearly and communicate any concerns to the physiotherapist, ensuring every client receives coordinated, safe care.

• National Police Check

• COVID & Flu vaccination compliance

• Professional Indemnity Insurance

• Reliable car and driver’s licence

Qualifications:

• Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance OR

• Certificate IV in Fitness OR

• Currently studying Exercise Science or Physiotherapy
