Aquaculture Technician - Night Shift

The Role

We are seeking an Aquaculture Technician to join our team at our Proserpine Prawn Farm, located in the beautiful region between Airlie Beach and Bowen.

This is a full-time max term contract position for 6 months: night shift (6pm-6am) on a 7/7 roster. You'll play a key role in maintaining animal health and ensuring optimal conditions for prawn growth in our fast-paced aquaculture environment.

Responsibilities

Conduct daily pond monitoring, checking prawn health, water quality and aeration systemsFollow all safety protocols and proceduresUse digital systems (iPad) to record data and complete tasksSupport the team with general farm operations as required

Role Requirements

Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all conditionsStrong attention to detail and capable of identifying potential issues earlyReliable and safety-consciousBasic technology skills - comfortable using iPadsAquaculture/farming experience (advantageous but not essential)Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (6pm - 6am) on a 7/7 rosterTeam player with positive attitudeHold a driver’s licence and have reliable transport to siteFull working rights in Australia
