About the role
Start your career in office administration with Law Partners
Looking for your first step into a professional office environment? Join Law Partners, Australia’s largest specialist personal injury law firm, and build your career in a supportive, fast-paced and people-focused workplace.
We’re looking for a motivated Office Assistant to support the smooth day-to-day running of our brand new state of the art Sydney CBD office. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone who is organised, hands-on and keen to develop their administration skills.
You don't need previous legal experience — we’ll provide the training and support you need to succeed.
Working closely with the Office Manager and wider office services team, your day will include:
Supporting general office administration, including scanning, filing, data entry and record keepingScanning incoming mail and managing radiology requests, including USBs and CDsPreparing client packs and ensuring meeting rooms, kitchens and breakout areas are clean, stocked and presentableMonitoring stationery, kitchen and printer supplies and arranging replenishment when requiredSetting up and packing down meeting rooms, mediations, training sessions and internal eventsAssisting with catering and supporting in-house events, including Friday night drinks, monthly lunches and training eventsManaging meeting room bookings and ensuring rooms are ready between appointmentsProcessing outgoing mail, including printing, franking and arranging deliveriesAssisting with briefs and, when required, attending court for document retrieval or deliveryProviding reception relief when requiredSupporting the Office Coordinator and wider team with administrative and operational tasks
What We're Looking For
This role is ideal for someone at the beginning of their career who is eager to learn and enjoys being part of a busy team.
You’ll Bring
Completion of Year 12 (HSC or equivalent)Some experience in an office, administration, hospitality or customer service environment is desirable, but not essentialA positive, can-do attitude and willingness to get involvedStrong attention to detail and accurate data entry skillsGood written and verbal communication skillsBasic Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word and ExcelThe ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlinesA proactive, hands-on approach — no two days will be exactly the sameProfessionalism and discretion when handling confidential information
A Certificate III in Business Administration or current study towards a business or administration qualification would be advantageous but isn't essential.
