About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Counsellor - Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) to join Anglicare Southern Queensland on a permanent part-time basis 0.6 FTE (3 days per week).
The overall purpose of the Counsellor, Domestic & Family Violence is to provide comprehensive assessments of suitability, group facilitation, individual counselling and follow up sessions, and some case management services to male persons using domestic and family violence, supporting them to take responsibility for their behaviour and work towards positive and sustainable behavioural change.
The position will prioritise the safety of victim-survivors (primarily women and children), who are affected by the behaviour and attitudes of the Person using Violence. The role will work collaboratively with relevant services and stakeholders to promote safety, wellbeing and appropriate support for survivors and their families.
This position is a permanent part-time role based in Eight Mile Plains and Stafford, working three days per week (0.6 FTE). Pay rate starts from $53.42 plus superannuation and access to salary packaging benefits.
