The Role

We’re looking for passionate, driven and talented Chefs of all levels to join the team at Kitchen by Mike, a brand-new venue located inside the iconic National Gallery of Australia in Canberra. This is an exciting opportunity to join the kitchen team from the beginning and help shape the culture, standards and success of a brand-new hospitality offering.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, cook and present dishes to Kitchen by Mike standards.
• Maintain exceptional food quality, consistency and presentation.
• Follow recipes and kitchen procedures to ensure operational excellence.
• Support efficient kitchen operations during preparation and service.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
• Comply with all food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.

About You

You’ll bring a positive attitude, strong work ethic and genuine passion for food. You’ll take pride in your work, enjoy being part of a team and thrive in a busy kitchen environment.

For senior roles, we’re looking for chefs who can lead by example, maintain high standards and help develop the next generation of kitchen talent.
