As Communications Manager, you'll play a key role in shaping how Teachers Mutual Bank communicates regulatory changes, service updates, and operational information to members. This is an opportunity for a communications professional who is motivated by advocacy, clarity, and member outcomes, and who enjoys translating complex information into meaningful communications that build trust.

Reporting to the Member Communications Lead, you'll develop communications that help members navigate regulatory requirements, service updates and operational change with confidence. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll ensure communications are accurate, empathetic, and aligned to governance requirements.

What you'll do - Manage end-to-end communication projects, from planning through to delivery
- Develop member communications relating to regulatory, operational, and service changes
- Translate complex technical and regulatory information into clear, member-friendly content
- Partner with stakeholders across compliance, legal, operations, and marketing to ensure communications are accurate and effective
- Support member communications during incidents, disruptions, and other time-sensitive situations
- Balance governance, risk, and member experience considerations to deliver communications that are timely, compliant, and easy to understand
What you'll bring - 5+ years' experience in communications, corporate affairs, or marketing, ideally within financial services or another highly regulated industry.
- Proven ability to develop and deliver member or customer communications, including regulatory, operational, or service-related updates.
- Exceptional writing skills, with a talent for translating complex or technical information into clear, engaging, and easy-to-understand communications.
- Strong stakeholder management and project delivery experience, with the ability to work effectively across compliance, legal, risk, operations, and marketing teams.
- Sound judgement, attention to detail and the ability to balance accuracy, compliance, empathy, and speed in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have - Experience within a mutual, member-owned, or customer-owned organisation
- Knowledge of Australian financial services regulations and industry expectations, including APRA, ASIC or COBCOP
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Experience supporting communications during incidents, service disruptions or change initiatives
