Venue Managers

About the role

You'll be part of a team managing the overall day-to-day operation and performance of the venue.

These roles are suited to experienced hospitality operators who enjoy being on the floor, leading teams and creating great venues.

King Street is one of Newcastle's best-known live music and entertainment venues, operating across multiple spaces and hosting live bands, touring artists, DJs, club nights and special events throughout the year.

The Regal Inn is a newly refurbished local hotel with a strong focus on food, families, live entertainment and events, featuring a large outdoor area, kids' facilities, live music and an expanding calendar of events.

Key responsibilities

• Leading, training and developing venue teams

• Managing day-to-day hotel operations

• Delivering exceptional customer service

• Driving a positive venue culture

• Managing busy food, beverage, entertainment and event periods

• Rostering, staffing and labour management

• Stock control and operational cost management

• Maintaining strong RSA, compliance and safety standards

• Working closely with ownership and senior management

• Helping develop new ideas, events and opportunities for the venues

About you

• Previous management experience in pubs, bars, hotels, restaurants or entertainment venues

• Strong leadership and people-management skills

• Experience working in high-volume hospitality

• A hands-on approach and willingness to lead from the floor

• Strong understanding of venue operations, compliance and RSA

• Good commercial awareness across wages, COGS and venue performance

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• A genuine passion for hospitality, live music and creating great customer experiences

• Experience in late-night venues, live music or large-scale events will be highly regarded for the King Street Hotel position
