About The Role!The Communications Coordinator plays a vital role across the Communications & Marketing team. This role is responsible for supporting and delivering the day-to-day communication activity for members, in alignment with the key identified strategic priorities and projects for the Guild. This role is a full-time, ongoing opportunity and is based at the Guild’s National Secretariat in Canberra.

The role responsibilities of the Communications Coordinator include:
Planning, drafting and editing regular, high-quality written content for member and industry channels including for electronic direct mail, media releases, social media, website and publications.
Supporting the coordination, production, scheduling and rollout of digital multimedia products, including video, for Guild member and industry communication channels, leveraging strong hands-on digital and video content creation skills.
Coordinating and delivering member communication outputs, projects and campaigns, ensuring consistency, accuracy and alignment with agreed messaging. Contributing to content ideation, creation and optimisation to ensure engaging, contemporary and best-practice digital communications.
Providing communications advice to Guild internal teams and branches to support innovative, best-practice strategic communication delivery.
Developing trusted and productive working relationships with Guild internal teams, branches, executive and senior Guild representatives to support delivery of marketing and communications objectives and identified Guild campaigns.
Regular reporting and analysis of channel activity and ability to make recommendations for continuous improvement.
The following work experience and knowledge is required:
Ability to translate strategic priorities into clear, actionable communication plans and deliverables, ensuring accuracy, timely delivery and outcomes focus.
Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capability, including confidence to provide clear advice, challenge constructively and guide stakeholders toward best practice outcomes.
Experiencing using contemporary email campaign, AI and marketing automation platforms to plan and managing multi-channel social media activity, digital scheduling, publishing and reporting.
Sound judgement and decision-making, with the ability to assess competing priorities and determine appropriate communication approaches aligned to organisational objectives.
Strong organisational and delivery capability, including the ability to independently manage workflows, prioritise effectively, and deliver across multiple projects and deadlines.
Knowledge and experience of print production (desirable)
Experience using contemporary design and video editing software (desirable)
