 The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to join our team based in Melbourne.

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing new business opportunities within the heavy vehicle repair sector. You'll play a key role in strengthening our market presence by building relationships with key industry stakeholders, attending accident sites to identify repair opportunities, and working closely with the National Business Development Manager and Centre Managers to drive business growth across Melbourne and South Australia.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively generate new business opportunities through networking, industry events, referrals, and targeted prospecting activities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, industry partners, insurers, fleet operators, and other key stakeholders.
• Attend accident and incident sites to identify and secure repair opportunities for local repair centres.
• Develop strong partnerships within the heavy towing industry to increase referral opportunities and workflow.
• Create and manage a robust pipeline of prospective clients and business opportunities.
• Understand customer needs and recommend tailored repair solutions aligned with our services.
• Collaborate closely with Centre Managers to maximise opportunities, improve customer outcomes, and support business growth initiatives.
• Develop and execute a structured territory management and customer call plan, ensuring regular engagement with key accounts.
• Maintain effective communication and workflow coordination across Melbourne and South Australia operations.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Proven business development and account management experience within the heavy vehicle, transport, or related industry.
• Strong industry knowledge and an understanding of heavy vehicle repair processes and operational requirements.
• Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• Highly developed problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively.
• Strong organisational, planning, and time management capabilities.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
• Availability to be on call when required.
• A current Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle (essential).
• Willingness to travel throughout Melbourne and South Australia.
