Senior Officer Payroll

Reporting to the HRQT Manager - We’re looking for an experienced Senior Payroll Officer based in our Kewdale office.

• Manage end-to-end payroll for a workforce of approximately 900 employees, processing monthly salaried and fortnightly wages pay runs
• Interpret and apply complex Enterprise Agreements, modern awards including Coal Award, and remuneration structures across three Australian states
• Ensure compliance with legislation and regulatory requirements including Fair Work, payroll tax, superannuation, and workers’ compensation obligations
• Process a variety of payroll components including allowances, overtime, penalty rates, leave entitlements, and back pays, in line with contractual agreements and industrial instruments
• Partner closely with HR to manage employee lifecycle transactions including new starters, terminations, redundancies, salary reviews, promotions, and other remuneration changes
• Perform payroll reconciliations, audits, and reporting to ensure payroll accuracy and identify discrepancies
• Provide expert payroll advice to employees, management, and key stakeholders

Experience and Qualifications:

• End-to-end payroll experience within a complex organisation
• Experience in Mining or a similar industry is highly regarded
• Ability to work in a team environment and autonomously
