Procurement and Business Development Officer

About the role

This is an exciting full-time opportunity for a Procurement and Business Development Officer to join the team at LG Energy Solution Australia Pty Ltd based in East Perth, WA. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the company's strategic procurement activities and business development initiatives.

What you'll be doing (not limited to)

·       Manage and coordinate procurement activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services

·       Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and evaluate new business opportunities

·       Conduct market research and analysis to support strategic decision making

·       Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and partners

·       Prepare proposals, tenders and contract documentation

·       Monitor and report on procurement and business development KPIs

·       Provide administrative support as required

Key Responsibilities:

1.    Battery Metal Procurement:

·       Sourcing of battery metal from local suppliers. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.

·       Support Korean headquarter procurement process to ensure the best quality materials at competitive prices.

·       Monitoring battery metal(bulk commodity) logistics and liaise with marine surveyors.

·       Respond to quality test enquiries via phone and email. Support the shipping and transportation of materials, ensuring smooth and timely delivery

2.    Market Analysis:

·       Conduct market analysis on battery metal trends using various sources (newspapers, independent reports, public announcements, etc.)

3.    Business Development:

·       Contribute to identifying potential business opportunities in Australia. Participate in the sourcing of M&A deals and investment opportunities in the battery metal sector.

·       Support Korean headquarter business development procedures to conduct due diligence

What we're looking for

·       Previous experience in procurement, logistics, or business development is preferred.

·       Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

·       Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

·       Proficient in MS Office, with the ability to prepare high-quality reports and presentations

·       Effective communication and stakeholder management skills

·       Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Key Requirements:

·       Clean criminal record and valid visa status to comply with Australian regulations.

·       Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

·       Driver's license
