Book Manufacturing Team Leader

As the people behind the print, we are looking for an enthusiastic Team Leader to join our Production team located in Noble Park North on a Full-Time basis to lead our Books Finishing department. This is an opportunity to lead from the front - guiding a dedicated team and ensuring every book is produced and leaves our facility to a high quality, efficiently and on time.

About the Role

Reporting into the Production Supervisor, you’ll take responsibility for one of our Books Print Finishing Production Team. You'll oversee daily operations, supporting your team to perform at their best, and ensuring production targets, quality standards and service commitments are consistently achieved.

Success in this role requires strong leadership, sound operational judgement and the ability to balance people, quality and productivity in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support a production team throughout the shift.

• Coordinate daily workflow to meet production and SLA targets.

• Monitor quality standards and ensure SOPs are followed.

• Promote safe work practices and maintain a clean, organised work area.

• Monitor production and WIP, escalating issues where required.

• Assist with training and onboarding new team members.

• Work closely with Production, Warehouse and Customer Service to keep work moving efficiently.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (Book Production Desirable)

• Experience leading or supervising a team.

• Print manufacturing or print finishing experience is highly regarded.

• Good understanding of quality standards, safety and production processes.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate others.

• A practical approach to problem-solving and prioritising work.

• Experience using production or manufacturing systems is an advantage.
