Not another online clinic. Not a diagnosis factory. Not a prescription funnel.We are building a clinically serious, technology-enabled service designed around a simple belief:
People seeking ADHD care deserve something better — faster access, less friction, better systems and uncompromised clinical standards.
And we’re looking for the psychiatrist who wants to help lead that movement.Seen is pre-launch, but we are not starting from a blank page.The technology platform is operating. The service model has been designed. Clinical pathways, protocols and workflows have been drafted. And before treating our first patient, we are already receiving organic enquiries from people across Australia looking for a better way to access care.Now we need the person who will hold clinical authority over it.
This is a founding clinical appointmentWe are not looking for a psychiatrist to spend six months designing a service from scratch.We’ve done the groundwork.Your role is more important than that.You will take clinical ownership of what has been built — reviewing it, challenging it, strengthening it, changing it where necessary and ultimately deciding what is, and is not, clinically acceptable.You will help establish the clinical standard Seen carries forward as it grows.
Your remit will include oversight of:ADHD assessment pathways and diagnostic standardsevidence and information requirementsred-flag and escalation protocolscomorbidities and clinical exclusion criteriaprescribing and monitoring frameworksmedication review and deprescribingclinical incident reviewaudit and quality assuranceclinical policies and governancesupervision and clinical standards for participating doctorsthe boundaries of what Seen should — and should not — treatrelevant prescribing frameworks and jurisdictional requirements across Australia
Most importantly:
You will own clinical governance.We want those foundations established before the first patient is treated — not retrofitted after thousands of patients have entered the system.
Your authority will be realClinical Director is not an honorary title at Seen.Seen builds the technology, product and operating infrastructure.You decide whether the clinical components of that model are acceptable.You will have the authority to require changes, establish clinical boundaries, amend protocols and say no.Nothing clinical goes live without appropriate clinical approval.That separation matters to us.Technology should make healthcare work better.It should never compromise the independence of the clinicians delivering it.
What we are buildingWe know there are legitimate concerns about the direction some ADHD telehealth services have taken.We want to build differently from day one.
No promised diagnosesNot everyone assessed by Seen will have ADHD.A negative diagnosis is a completely valid clinical outcome.
No medication-led marketingMedication is a clinical decision.It is not the product.No lock-inThere are no long-term contracts or exit penalties designed to keep someone paying for care they no longer need.No incentive to retain unsuitable patientsIf Seen’s clinicians determine that ongoing care through the service is inappropriate, future membership fees stop.Technology supports medicine. It does not practise it.Seen uses technology to remove the friction around healthcare — structured intake, information collection, records, scheduling, billing, follow-up and administration.But assessment, diagnosis, prescribing and clinical decision-making remain where they belong:with registered clinicians.Our ambition is to build a healthcare platform where technology does more of the administrative work so clinicians can spend more of their time practising medicine.
Who we’re looking forYou will be a FRANZCP psychiatrist, or hold equivalent specialist registration recognised by AHPRA, with experience in adult ADHD assessment and management.You should be comfortable taking responsibility for a clinical model you did not originally draft — and confident enough to tear parts of it apart when necessary.We are particularly interested in someone who:has exceptional clinical judgementcares deeply about responsible ADHD caresees the opportunity for technology to improve healthcare without replacing cliniciansenjoys building systems, not simply working within themwants to influence what a national model of care could look likeDoctors subject to s19AB restrictions are also welcome to speak with us about whether the position can be appropriately structured.
