About the role
The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Project Engineer to join our established engineering team for upcoming subsea and ROV projects awarded recently. This role is based in West Perth and requires occasional project site visits and offshore work.
You will be responsible for:
Liaise with the Project Manager, Lead Engineers and Senior Project Engineers to execute project workscopes with regular clients interfacing;
Control of work packages through design review, constructability, HAZID and offshore execution;
Manage subcontractors and equipment manufacturers, including documentation preparation and overseeing SIT & FATs;
Complete engineering analysis and documentation delivery and manage installation aid design or sea fastening fabrications;
Ensure equipment and personnel readiness for mobilisation;
Ensure all work undertaken is carried out in accordance with project safety and quality requirements.
About You
We’re looking for a team player who is proactive, collaborative, and takes ownership. You build strong relationships, communicate clearly, and bring a positive, solution-focused mindset.
Your success in securing this role will require:
Experience in project engineering or mechanical engineering in subsea, marine, oil & gas and mining;
Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical/mechatronic/structural/ocean engineering or naval architecture;
Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel,MS Project and specialist engineering software (Solidworks, Orcaflex, etc.) is desirable;
Strong communication skills and self-motivated with the ability to commit to the long-term objectives of projects;
Capable of obtaining offshore survival course and passing associated medical exam.
