Technical Sale Representative

About the role

Franklin Offshore is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Technical Sales Representative to join our team in Henderson, WA. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities and providing practical, solution-focused advice. You'll take ownership of a portfolio of customers while actively developing new business across the oil and gas, marine, construction, mining and offshore sectors. Working closely with our technical, operations and procurement teams, you'll help customers identify lifting, rigging and mooring solutions that are safe, compliant and fit for purpose. You'll become a trusted partner to your customers by understanding their operational needs and delivering solutions that add value.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage relationships with new and existing customers, becoming their trusted point of contact.
• Identify, develop and convert new business opportunities while growing existing customer accounts.
• Manage a healthy pipeline of sales, hire and contract opportunities.
• Prepare accurate quotations, proposals and product recommendations that align with customer needs and technical requirements.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms within company guidelines.
• Provide advice on lifting, rigging and mooring products, applications and industry standards.
• Work closely with operations, logistics, procurement and technical teams to deliver successful customer outcomes.
• Monitor market activity, industry trends and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for growth.
• Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality and customer service in every interaction.

About you

• Experience in technical sales, industrial sales, account management or business development within an industrial, engineering, construction, mining, marine or trade-related environment.
• Demonstrated ability to build long-term customer relationships and grow business opportunities.
• Ability to understand customer requirements and recommend practical, compliant solutions.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Good commercial awareness and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A proactive approach and a genuine commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality.
• Unrestricted Australian working rights.
• Knowledge of lifting, rigging or mooring equipment and associated Australian Standards (desirable).
• Experience within the lifting, rigging, marine, mining, construction, oil and gas or offshore industries (desirable).
