Accountant

Immediate start for an experienced Accountant to join our team at Shepperton on immediate basis. A firm run by a team of dynamic professionals is excited to welcome a hands-on candidate, who is ready to hit the ground from day one with minimal supervision.

 Responsibilities · Preparing financial statements and managing bookkeeping in MYOB, QBO and Xero · Examining operating costs and organisations' income and expenditure · Providing assurance about the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements · Providing financial and taxation advice on business structures, plans and operations · Preparation of tax returns (Individuals, Partnerships, Trusts, Companies, SMSF) · Preparation of quarterly BAS (GST, FBT and PAYG) · Managing Employment obligations (Super, WorkCover, Payroll tax and STP) · Assisting in payroll & bookkeeping services including accounts payable & accounts receivable · Liaise with the ASIC, ATO, banks, insurers, auditors and various local authorities What you will need to succeed · Qualification: Bachelors / Masters / CA or CPA aspirants ·

Experience: 8-10 years of relevant accounting experience post qualification · Software knowledge: MYOB, Quickbook, Xero, MS-Office · Good understanding of accounting & financial reporting practices · Excellent filing & organizing abilities including attention to detail · Professional client interaction & soft marketing skills Profile ·

Priority will be given if you are an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident, or if you have a valid visa to work in Australia. · Priority will be given to those people who have previous experience or exposure to Australian accounting software. · Training will be provided on the accounting work. · Location: Shepperton, Victoria Please note, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
