Marlinyu Ghoorlie Aboriginal Corporation (MGAC) represents the Karlamaya Kapurn Traditional Owners and works to protect, manage and care for Country while strengthening culture, creating employment opportunities and supporting future generations.

We are looking for Trainee rangers!

The Marlinyu Ghoorlie Land Management Unit Trainee Ranger pool participates in a range of activities relating to cultural heritage preservation, conservation, and environmental work as directed by the elders, cultural advisors and Ranger Coordinator including fauna and flora protection, weed control, support of tourism and recreational activities.

The positions are a mentored employment and training opportunity for Karlamaya Kapurn people with preference given to community members who have connection to our Country. Nationally accredited training in Conservation and Ecosystem Management and Cultural Sites work is provided.

If you are interested in land management, caring for country, recording heritage sites and places, this role could be for you!

We require rangers to take part in water monitoring, fauna and feral pest monitoring, cultural site management, flora and weed control combined with cultural mapping, knowledge transfer and mentoring.
