Casual Light Vehicle Mechanic  

Tomingley Gold Operations are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced casual Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our team, as leave relief coverage.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

• Perform vehicle preventative maintenance tasks

• Repair or replace components as required

• Perform service checks.

• Inspection vehicles and diagnosing any required work.

• Be prepared to assist heavy vehicle tradespeople on underground mining equipment to perform preventative and corrective maintenance.

What we will need from you:

• Light Vehicle/Automotive Trade Certification

• Current Driver’s Licence

• A commitment to safety

• Good communication skills and a "can do" attitude

• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and police check

• Availability to complete a 12-hour shift

Benefits on Offer

• $70/hr plus Superannuation

• $11.90/day Travel allowance

About Us

Tomingley Gold Mine, owned and operated by Alkane Resources Ltd, is located adjacent to the village of Tomingley, 50 kms south of Dubbo in Central NSW.  The operation consists of both underground and open cut mines and a 1Mtpa processing plant on site that produces gold bullion. The current workforce consists of approximately 225 permanent employees in professional, technical, mining, processing and trades roles. 

The development of an additional open cut and underground mines 3 kms south of the Tomingley deposits have just been approved. With this exciting expansion, there is an expected mine life beyond 2030.
