THE ROLE

Joining our team as a Project Manager presents an exciting opportunity to work with an award winning company on a brand new project based here in Western Australia. This project spans from engineering through to construction and delivery, involving the build of an  Paste Plant. With dedicated support from the Operational Department, you will drive impactful outcomes throughout the project lifecycle for international projects.

Duties include but not limited to;

• Manage the project as per contract terms, ensuring all deliverables, timelines, and obligations are met safeguarding company interests.
• Proactively manage scope, identifying and addressing deviations and variations to the Project Schedule.
• Achieve physical and financial targets.
• Prepare and submit monthly project claims and reports.
• Provide regular updates on project status, progress, and changes.
• Prepare and present project reports, including progress reports, performance metrics, and final project reviews.
• Build and maintain positive client relationships serving as the primary contact.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between project teams and stakeholders.
• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Monitor risk factors and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Manage project quality to ensure deliverables meet defined standards and specifications.
• Ensure adherence to Company Occupational Health and Safety Policies and Procedures on site.

THE PERSON

• 5+ years of Project Management experience, preferably in the mining industry.
• Qualification in Engineering or Project Management is required.
• Background in either Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Process Engineering.
• Experience with MS Projects and Procore is desirable 
• Strong commitment to safe working practices.
• Ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships.
• Strong organisational, interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Experience in mentoring, training, and coaching junior colleagues.
• Willingness to travel to site once the project is under-way
• Capable and comfortable leading teams.
• Strong communication skills
