Homestyle Kitchen Attendant

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Home Style Kitchen Attendant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a warm, home-style kitchen environment and takes pride in providing quality meal service while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.

As part of our kitchen team, you will assist with meal preparation, meal service, kitchen cleaning, and creating a positive dining experience for residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation of meals and snacks
• Supporting the Cook or Chef in preparing simple home-style meals
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
• Assist in serving meals to residents during breakfast, lunch, and dinner services.
• Ensuring residents receive meals that meet their dietary requirements.
• Prepare the dining areas before meal service, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable dining environment
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen and dining areas, including benches, food preparation areas and equipment
• Follow infection control, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures
• Engage with residents in a friendly, respectful, and courteous manner, and contribute to a positive dining experience

About You

The successful applicant will have:

• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A commitment to cleanliness, food safety, and quality service.
• Previous kitchen, hospitality, aged care, or food service experience (desirable but not essential).
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
