Community Development Officer
Full-time- Fixed-term (Until 3 August 2027)
Position Number: 2540 Location: Queanbeyan
The Package: $89,167 - $98,527 gross per annum + 12% super. (Evaluated as Grade 12 of the QPRC Salary System 2026).
Full-time – 35 hours per week. Flexible work arrangements will be considered.
Are you passionate about making a positive impact in your local community? Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council is seeking a motivated and community-focused individual to join our team as a Community Development Officer.
In this role you will:
· Identify and secure grant funding to support community initiatives and programs.
· Build strong relationships and collaborate with a diverse range of community groups, including young people, people with disability, families, and older residents.
· Research, coordinate, and deliver community development projects, programs, and events.
· Support initiatives that promote community safety and increased wellbeing.
We are looking for someone who:
· Holds relevant qualifications and/or experience in community services, community development, or community engagement.
· Has demonstrated experience delivering community-based projects and initiatives.
· Has excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across Council and within the broader community.
