Assistant Venue Manager

The Role:

Step into a key leadership role as Assistant Manager, where you'll support the day-to-day operations of the venue while helping to create exceptional experiences for every guest. Working closely with the Venue Manager, you'll lead and inspire the team, drive operational excellence, and play an integral part in the continued success of the Birdcage Hotel.

What You’ll Do

• Support the Venue Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of service in our bar, and restaurant.
• Inspire and mentor your team, driving a positive and productive culture focused on excellence, customer service, and continuous improvement.
• Assist in managing stock, scheduling, and staff performance while maintaining efficient operations and adhering to budget targets.
• Assist in ensuring the venue adheres to health and safety guidelines, licensing laws, and all regulatory requirements.

What We’re Looking For

• A proven leader with previous experience in hospitality management.
• Current QLD RSA, RSG, RMLV, Approved Managers License & CLO.
• A positive attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, close-knit team environment.
• A passion for delivering exceptional guest service.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to handle problems on the spot.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• A solid understanding of hospitality regulations, financial management, and best practices.
