Aged Care Dietitian

Clever Bite Dietitians provides dietetic services to residential aged care facilities across Melbourne. We are looking for another enthusiastic and caring dietitian with a genuine interest in aged care to join our growing team.

This is a flexible contracting opportunity, initially offering approximately one day per week, with a strong possibility of increasing beyond this as the role and caseload grow. The role is available for an immediate start, and the successful applicant will ideally be based in a location that allows them to conveniently service Melbourne’s northern and western suburbs.

What you'll be doing

Aged care dietetics is much broader than individual consultations. Your work can make a meaningful difference to an individual consumer’s health, wellbeing and quality of life, while also influencing nutrition care and food services across an entire facility.

Depending on the needs of your allocated facilities, your work may include:

• Individual dietetic assessments, reviews and ongoing consumer care

• Menu and food service reviews

• Mealtime experience assessments

• Staff education and training

• Reviewing and contributing to nutrition-related policies and procedures

• Working collaboratively with facility staff and other health professionals to support positive nutrition outcomes

Essential Criteria

• Provisional or Full Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status

• Current Driver’s Licence and own reliable transport

• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19

• Willingness to receive annual influenza vaccination

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• ABN

• Professional Indemnity Insurance

Desirable Criteria

• Previous experience in aged care dietetics

The variety of the role provides an excellent opportunity to broaden your experience across clinical dietetics, food service, education and facility-wide nutrition practices.
