About the role
About us
Produce Link has been servicing feedlots and dairy customers for many years throughout the South West. The company is owned by a local Bunbury family and is part of a larger enterprise consisting of several farms and feedlots in the southern regions of WA. The wider enterprise specialises in beef production, including breeding, backgrounding, feedlots, export depots and branded beef products.
Qualifications & experience
Must have a valid HC License
Experience driving on gravel and dirt roads is highly advantageous, as is a passion for livestock production and agriculture.
Willingness to work as part of a team to provide a great service to our customers.
Must be able to climb over/through fences and be comfortable being around cattle & livestock.
Tasks & responsibilities
Operate an HC Truck delivering loads of grain (Approx 25T at a time) to farms throughout the southwest daily.
This includes getting in and out of the truck, navigating over and through fences to open & shut grain bins at each delivery location and operating the auger system to deliver the grain into the silo/grain bin.
Assist in the grain milling operations as required, including mixing, milling, and general duties. Training will be provided on the mill operations.
Some general minor maintenance on the delivery trucks and ensuring they are always well-maintained.
A positive attitude towards safety and customer service is essential.
Opportunity to help out on the feedlot during quiet periods, along with maintenance such as welding, fabrication, and repairs to cattle yards.
Other Information
Competitive Hourly Rate.
Great hours - generally 5 - 6 am to 2 - 3pm Monday - Friday with occasional weekend work throughout the busy season.
