Our Head Chef, Ben, is currently seeking an experienced and reliable Part-Time Kitchen Hand to join our Kitchen team at Pullman Sydney Airport.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced hotel environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and organisation.

Job Description

• Washing and sanitising dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans and kitchen equipment
• Operating commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, storage areas and back-of-house areas
• Assisting with basic food preparation when required
• Removing rubbish and maintaining waste disposal and recycling areas
• Receiving, storing and organising kitchen supplies
• Following food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures
• Supporting chefs and the wider Kitchen team during busy service periods
• Ensuring cleaning chemicals and equipment are used and stored safely

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Kitchen Hand in a hotel, restaurant or similarly fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of kitchen hygiene, food safety and cleaning procedures
• Ability to work efficiently and remain organised during busy service periods
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness
• Positive attitude with strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to safely perform manual handling duties and stand for extended periods
• Availability to work a flexible rotating roster, including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays
