Maintenance Electrician – Hospital Linen Services

RPR Trades is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician for a temp-to-perm opportunity within a busy hospital linen services facility in North Brisbane.

This role is suited to a reliable, safety-focused electrician with strong industrial maintenance experience who is confident fault-finding, repairing and maintaining production equipment in a fast-paced operating environment.

About the Role

You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment used across a high-volume linen services facility. Equipment may include industrial washers, dryers, ironing systems, conveyors, motors, VSDs, control panels, PLC-controlled machinery and supporting electrical infrastructure.

You will work closely with maintenance, production and site teams to minimise downtime and keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.

Duties May Include

• Preventative and breakdown maintenance on production machinery
• Electrical fault-finding and diagnostics
• Repairs to motors, VSDs, control panels, sensors and electrical components
• Troubleshooting control circuits using electrical drawings and schematics
• Supporting maintenance on washers, dryers, conveyors and laundry processing equipment
• Assisting with equipment upgrades, modifications and commissioning
• Completing maintenance records and documentation
• Following LOTO, electrical safety and site procedures
• Working safely in a healthcare-related production environment

To Be Considered

You will need:

• Current unrestricted Electrical Licence
• Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or equivalent
• Industrial maintenance experience
• Experience fault-finding production or manufacturing equipment
• Ability to read electrical drawings and technical documentation
• Strong understanding of electrical safety and Australian Standards
• Current driver licence
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Highly Regarded Experience

• Commercial laundry or linen services
• Hospital, healthcare, food, pharmaceutical or industrial processing environments
• PLC-controlled equipment
• VSDs, MCCs, motors, sensors and control panels
• Conveyors, steam systems, boilers or automated production equipment
• CMMS maintenance systems
• EWP, Working at Heights, Confined Space, First Aid or CPR
