Primary purpose:

The primary purpose of the Finance Business Partner is support critical business activities relating to financial planning, analysis, reporting and financial governance. 

Specific Responsibilities:

• Develop financial models for Capital Expenditure to aid decision making for both the Business Development and Operational Teams.
• Ability to hold Operations partners accountable to performance metrics outlined in the signed Capex models.
• Managing the collation and reporting of the Ports BU capital expenditure and analysis of working capital.
• Assisting in financial due diligence of M&A opportunities and the development of the business case and Board review and approval materials. Assist with post investment reviews;
• Financial Project Management of large capex expenditure projects.
• Managing the Fixed Assets for the Ports Division ensuring that assets are being properly accounted for in a timely manner and also ensuring that there is a fixed asset stocktake performed annually by the accountants and operations.
• Providing financial and reporting assistance to the GM Engineering in regards to the Ports Fixed Assets.
• Communicating opportunities for improvement in our current systems.
• Investigate ways to automate annual budgets and month end process.
• Internal auditing of processes throughout the Ports Division.
• Ad hoc project analysis as required by General Manager’s.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

• Minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within the Ports sector
• Accounting background
• Advanced MS Office skills
• Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills, particularly in terms of data analysis and reporting with the ability to distil data to highlight operational performance
• Strong written and presentation skills;
• Analytical skills
