An exciting opportunity is now available for a Building & Maintenance Manager to join the team at Oaks Mon Komo Suites
The OpportunityReporting to the Hotel General Manager, this hands-on role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance and building operations of hotel and its associated mixed-use property.
Working with a small team and external contractors, you will help ensure the property remains safe, well-maintained and operating efficiently while supporting guests, residents and owners.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional ready to take the next step in their career or for an established Maintenance Manager seeking a varied and rewarding role.
Key Responsibilities· Lead and support the property's day-to-day maintenance operations.
· Supervise a small team and coordinate external contractors.
· Deliver planned and preventative maintenance activities across the property.
· Coordinate repairs and maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
· Assist in maintaining compliance, safety and essential services records.
· Contribute to maintenance planning, forecasting and asset improvement initiatives.
· Conduct regular property inspections and identify maintenance priorities.
· Support refurbishment, repair and improvement projects as required.
· Liaise with hotel management, guests, residents, owners and contractors on maintenance matters.
· Attend Body Corporate committee meetings
· Assist with emergency response arrangements when required.
About YouYou are a practical and proactive maintenance professional who enjoys solving problems, leading by example and keeping facilities operating at their best. You are solution focused, communicate effectively with others and able to manage competing priorities.
This is a varied role encompassing hands-on tasks, building/strata management, stakeholder engagement, busy hotel operations, contractor management, and taking direction from the GM/Building Manager as well as senior Lewis Leisure management when required.
You will ideally bring:
· A trade qualification or equivalent maintenance experience.
· Experience within hotels, residential, strata, resort or commercial property environments.
· Experience coordinating contractors and maintenance activities.
· Sound understanding of workplace safety and building maintenance requirements.
· Good communication and organisational skills.
· A hands-on approach and willingness to get involved in day-to-day operations.
· Current Australian Drivers licence
Highly regarded but not essential:
· Experience with maintenance management systems.
· First Aid certification.
· Fire safety, pool plant or other building services experience.
