About us:
Sydney Water is undertaking a 10-year multibillion dollar Infrastructure program to renew, expand & build infrastructure to support a more sustainable, resilient, and efficient water network for Sydney’s growing population. We provide safe drinking, recycled, wastewater, and stormwater services with a focus on reliability, affordability, and environmental sustainability. About the role:
Lead the delivery of accurate, market-aligned cost estimates across a portfolio of projects, while developing and managing estimating systems, tools, and data. Provide expert cost advice and assurance to support planning, decision-making, and consistent outcomes across the project lifecycle.
Your Responsibilities:
Lead, coach and manage a high-performing team of estimators Deliver accurate, timely cost estimates and pricing across all project phases Develop and maintain estimating systems, processes and benchmarking data Provide cost advice, optioneering and risk/contingency assessments to support decisions Drive continuous improvement through market analysis, post-project reviews and best practice
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Extensive experience delivering project cost estimates across the full lifecycle of civil infrastructure projectsStrong leadership capability, with experience managing and developing high-performing technical teamsAdvanced analytical, financial and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressureProven ability to develop systems, processes and standardised estimating frameworksExcellent communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills, supported by relevant qualifications in engineering, quantity surveying or construction managementYou must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident at the time of submitting your application to be considered for this role.
