Chef/Short Order Cook

CHEF / SHORT ORDER COOK — JOIN THE MAFIA

Barbecue Mafia is growing, and we’re looking for our next superstar to join the crew.

We’re after an experienced Chef / Short Order Cook who can walk through the kitchen door and get straight to work.

No Hand-holding. No hiding in the cool room. We need someone who can cook.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

You’ll be part of the crew helping us pump out the good stuff, including:

Short-order cooking

Grill work

Fryer work

Basic prep

Meal assembly

Plating & presentation

Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and moving

Producing consistently bloody good food, even when the tickets start stacking up

🔪 WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You’ll need to:

Have solid commercial kitchen experience

Be confident on a grill and fryer

Know your way around a busy service

Have an eye for detail and presentation

Work quickly without sacrificing quality

Be reliable, switched-on and have a awesome work ethic

Be able to hit the ground running

Be a team player who doesn’t need to be chased around the kitchen

Most importantly, we want someone who really cares about the food.

WEEKEND AVAILABILITY IS NON-NEGOTIABLE

This is a 25–30 hour per week role, with shifts primarily across:

FRIDAY

Our weekends are our busiest days.

So, please don’t apply if you have regular weekend commitments.
