About The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Wharf Coordinator to join us in our Metro division. You’ll be responsible for the planning and coordination of Break Bulk vessels, efficient scheduling of deliveries and the overall maintenance and management of the Break Bulk operation.
You’ll also be given cross-training to coordinate freight for some of our other clients in the Metro division. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to grow in their career and gain exposure in coordinating multiple business units.
Key Responsibilities In This Role Will Include
Coordinating and assisting the loading of Break Bulk cargo from wharf to end customerMaintain an effective working relationship with customers regarding deliveries and schedulesComply with all CoR requirements relevant to the role, including load restraints, fatigue management, speed and loading requirementsPerform regular reconciliations with the Wharf Officer to ensure timely shipmentsEnsure vehicles are fitted and loaded safelyAttend training focused on effectively coordinating freight for other business units in the metro division
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Need
3-5 years’ previous experience in a similar role/industryKnowledgeable in wharf operations and steel productsProven understanding of Chain of Responsibility requirementsManual C-class license essentialFPA access highly advantageousFlexibility to work at different site locations (Fremantle, Kewdale and Maddington)
