About the role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced leader to join our team on a permanent basis as Theatre NUM. The NUM plays a crucial role in leading, managing, and developing the unit, ensuring patient-centered care, and achieving a high standard of quality patient outcomes. The role also requires sound business management skills, with particular focus on financial and commercial outcomes especially with respect to FTE management, budgeting and consumable resource management.

About you

• Current nursing registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

• Tertiary Certificate or Advanced Diploma in the relevant specialty

• Minimum of 2-3 years of proven leadership experience in an operating theatre environment

• At least 1-2 years of experience as NUM, Floor Manager (or equivalent)

• Leadership experience in a perioperative environment

• National Criminal Record Check

• Working with Children Check

• Demonstrated understanding of evidence informed practice and critical thinking

• Immunity against TB, Measles, Diphtheria, Pertussis, Hepatitis B, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus and Mumps

• Permanent residency or visas 189, 186, 190, 892, or 893
