We are currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Administrator / Executive Assistant to join our team. Based in Kalgoorlie, this is a Full-Time position that will report directly to the General Manager.

VM Drilling is a privately owned RC drilling company based in Kalgoorlie, serving clients throughout Western Australia. 

VM Drilling was established in 2004 as a one rig company and grew organically to a reputable mid-size company. Today the business is operating up to 10 Rigs and possesses extensive experience within the mining industry.

About the Position

This is a new position in a growing business. We're looking for an experienced Senior Administrator for a varied position managing the small administration team of 2 staff and providing Personal Assistant support to the General Manager and Operations Manager. 

Previous experience working in mining subcontracting / mobilisation is advantageous. A varied and autonomous position in a fast-paced environment for an individual with strong organisation skills who has the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels. 

Requirement for this position: 

• Minimum 5 years' experience 
• Previous Executive / Personal Assistant or Office Manager experience advantageous
• High level of organisational skills
• Previous experience in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work with minimal supervision 
• Ability to manage a small team
• Proactive team player who can look at what needs to be done to support the senior management team and broader team
• Strong interpersonal skills, communicate with all levels of the organisation, clients, suppliers etc.
• Eye for detail with the ability to also step back and see the bigger picture
• Multitask and follow through all duties in a professional manner
• Previous Mine Site, Drilling or Contracting exposure would be preferred but not essential
• Previous site access experience is advantageous 

Duties include:

• Personal Assistant to General Manager and Operations Manager - diary, emails, general administration support
• Provide leadership and oversight to the current administration team (2 staff)
• Providing leading to existing and implementation of new administration systems, structures and processes - automation to streamline and support the growing business
• Mobilisation oversight:
• Booking and scheduling of all employee flights 
• Management all employee mobilisation and site access
• Liaising with stakeholders, suppliers, mine site, employees and senior management team
• Maintaining Training/Site Matrixes 
• Assisting with Maintenance Administration
