About the role
As a Parts Interpreter at Engine Protection Equipment Pty Ltd, you will work directly with customers to understand what they need, interpret technical and parts information, identify suitable products, prepare quotations and coordinate supply. You will develop strong product knowledge and become a trusted point of contact for customers who rely on EPE to solve their equipment and parts requirements. This role involves helping customers identify, source and purchase the right products for their applications.
Key responsibilities
Understanding and interpreting customer parts and product requirements
Identifying parts and components using catalogues, technical information and computer-based systems
Providing customers with accurate product information and advice
Preparing and presenting quotations
Receiving and processing customer orders by phone, email and at our trade counter
Responding promptly and professionally to incoming customer enquiries
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers
Making sales calls to new and existing customers arising from existing enquiries and opportunities
Liaising with suppliers to source and purchase stock and non-stock products
Developing comprehensive knowledge of EPE's products, services and applications
About you
Previous experience in parts interpretation, internal sales, technical sales, customer service or a similar customer-facing role
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to understand technical products and identify components from customer requirements
Confidence working with product catalogues, computer systems and technical information
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple customer requirements
Confidence communicating with customers and suppliers by phone, email and face-to-face
A practical approach to problem-solving
Strong computer literacy
A willingness to develop detailed product and application knowledge
Current Australian driver's licence
