As our hospital continues to evolve, we’re looking for an enthusiastic, capable Equine Veterinary Nurse to join our team. This is an all-rounder nursing role within a busy equine hospital, ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day-to-day work and has a genuine interest in surgery.

We place a high value on genuine horsemanship. Confidence handling horses, strong situational awareness, and an understanding of equine behaviour and safety are essential in our hospital environment.

🩺 About the Role

This position offers exposure across all areas of equine hospital nursing, including:

• Medical case management and hospital care

• Assisting with lameness workups and procedures

• Preparation and maintenance of surgical theatres

• Supporting anaesthesia and surgical procedures

• Sterilisation and infection control

• Bandaging, catheter care, fluid therapy and medication administration

• Patient monitoring and recovery

• Stock control and equipment maintenance

While this is not a surgery-only role, we are particularly keen to find someone who is motivated to develop their skills in theatre alongside general nursing duties.

🐎 What We’re Looking For

• Equine nursing experience preferred

• A strong interest in surgery and anaesthesia

• Confidence handling horses in a hospital environment

• Ability to remain calm and organised in high-pressure situations

• High attention to detail and strong clinical standards

• A proactive, team-oriented mindset

• A desire to grow and build a long-term career in equine practice
