Permanent part-time (2 - 3 days per week). Must be able to work on Mondays and Fridays.

Flexibility for some work from home after your initial training period. 

Robinson Gill is a multi-disciplinary law firm that has provided expert legal advice for over 40 years.  We have a collegiate team of approximately eighty staff, with most senior lawyers holding Law Institute of Victoria Accredited Specialisation, and are looking for an experienced Legal Assistant/Senior Legal Assistant for our Personal Injury Law Team.

You will primarily support one female Principal Lawyer, who regularly collaborates on files with Principals and Lawyers, and alongside another part-time experienced Legal Assistant. This role is part-time (2- 3 days per week, with Mondays and Fridays essential), based in our Box Hill office. We are happy to discuss some work from home flexibility after training for an outstanding applicant. This female led team is passionate about quality client outcomes. 

We are a proud mid-tier Melbourne law firm that supports our local community via sponsorships and partnerships with community legal centres/sporting clubs and charities, and that values our diverse, female led team.  The Principal Lawyer you'd be working with is a Law Institute of Victoria Accredited Specialist, as is the Injury Practice Group Leader.

Our office is modern and well equipped for efficient work, with quality technology and practice management. 

Joining our Injury Law team, you will assist competent lawyers with the following duties:

• File management;

• Drafting correspondence and legal documentation;

• Preparing briefs and court documents;

• Summarising medical records and arranging medical consultations;

• Diary management, arranging meetings, mediations and conferences;

• Processing bills and accounts; and

• General administrative duties and supporting the firm – filing, photocopying, mail, scanning, etc.

About you:

We are seeking a well organised and proactive applicant who demonstrates the following skills and attributes:

• Ideally a passionate career senior legal assistant, with Injury Law experience and interest;

• Great attention to detail and able to work autonomously and with initiative;

• Solid technical skills and strong English communication skills;

• Ability to work effectively in a friendly and professional manner in a team environment;

• Remain calm and poised under pressure;

• Ability to prioritise tasks;

• Confident, positive and can-do attitude; 

• Ideally, but not essential, as training will be provided, have experience with iManage, Action Step, eBrief and Adobe/Office (including Teams calling); and 

• This role is not suited to a current law student, we are after a professional assistant.  Must be based proximate to work in our Box Hill office at least two days per week.
