Power Infrastructure Civil Operator

Required Qualifications:

• White card

• Drivers Licence (HR Licence preferred)

• VEDN Module 1

• VESI Environmental Framework

• VESI Safety Framework

• Provide First Aid in ESI environment

• ESI Safety Rules

• SADS

• Traffic

• Manual Handling

Works to include:

The successful applicant will undertake civil construction works within the power and electrical infrastructure industry. Works will vary across projects and may include;

-Excavation and preperation for electrical infrastructure

-Installation of underground conduits, pits and associated civil infrastructure

-Excavation and preparation for power pole and streetlight installations

-Assisting with the installation and removal of poles and associated infrastructure

-Operating excavators and other small plant

-Dogging and assisting with small crane operations

-Working safely around existing underground and overhead electrical assets

-General civil construction and reinstatement works.

Previous experience working within the power industry is essential, with applicants required to hold current relevant VESI/ESI competencies and network approvals.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable working across both civil construction and power infrastructure projects, can work independently when required, and is equally happy working as part of a crew.
