About the role

Artbeech is seeking experienced Commercial Landscape Leading Hands and Landscape Labourers to join our growing team. This is a full-time position based in Murarrie, QLD 4172. As a Commercial Landscape Leading Hand or Labourer, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality landscaping projects for our commercial clients. Whether you are an experienced leading hand ready to oversee teams and projects, or a skilled labourer eager to contribute to professional landscape installations and maintenance, this role offers the opportunity to work on diverse and rewarding projects whilst being part of a dedicated trades team.

What you'll be doing

As a Commercial Landscape Leading Hand, you will:

• Oversee and supervise landscaping teams on commercial projects, ensuring quality standards and project timelines are met

• Plan and coordinate daily work schedules, resource allocation and site operations

• Provide guidance, training and support to landscape labourers on site

• Liaise with clients, project managers and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are understood and delivered

• Conduct site inspections and quality checks to maintain high standards of workmanship

• Manage health, safety and environmental compliance across all project sites

As a Landscape Labourer, you will:

• Assist in the installation, maintenance and removal of landscape features including plants, trees, turf, hardscaping and irrigation systems

• Prepare and maintain landscaping areas, including grading, soil preparation and site cleanup

• Operate landscaping equipment and hand tools safely and effectively

• Follow instructions from leading hands and supervisors to complete assigned tasks

• Contribute to maintaining a safe and organised work environment on site

• Transport and handle materials and equipment as required

What we're looking for

For the Commercial Landscape Leading Hand role, we seek candidates with:

• Proven experience in commercial landscaping, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or leading hand capacity

• Demonstrated knowledge of landscaping practices, plant selection, hardscaping and irrigation systems

• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams

• Experience in project planning, scheduling and budget management

• Sound understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in the landscaping industry

• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel between project sites

• Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

• Relevant qualifications or certifications in landscaping, horticulture or site management (desirable)

For the Landscape Labourer role, we seek candidates with:

• Previous experience in landscaping, gardening or related trades

• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in outdoor conditions

• Familiarity with landscaping tools, equipment and materials

• A commitment to health and safety practices on site

• Valid driver's licence (desirable)

• Reliability, punctuality and a positive work ethic

• Willingness to learn and develop skills within the landscaping industry
