About the roleOur Local Laws Officers help keep Wyndham’s neighbourhoods safe, clean and enjoyable by making sure local laws and regulations are followed. This involves working directly with residents, businesses and other members of the community to provide information and education, respond to concerns and, where necessary, take enforcement action.
No two days are the same. You could be responding to a customer request, inspecting a property, following up on a complaint about litter or a building site, or speaking with a member of the community about their responsibilities under local laws.
This role will suit you if you enjoy working with people, solving problems and spending time out in the community. Bring your community compliance experience and ‘can do’ attitude to join the Local Laws team in keeping Wyndham clean, safe and presentable.

What you will bringExperience in regulatory services, compliance or a similar community-based environment is desirableStrong communication skills and the ability to deal with people across a range of situationsThe ability to assess situations, solve problems and make sound decisionsConfidence working autonomously and managing your own workloadGood computer skills, including experience using Microsoft OfficeEmpathy, resilience and the ability to remain calm when dealing with difficult or confronting situations
