About the role

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our Italian Fine dine restaurant Ambiance Ristorante in Unanderra NSW. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to lead and manage all aspects of our restaurant operations. As Restaurant Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring exceptional service delivery, maintaining operational standards, and creating memorable experiences for our guests. This role is pivotal to the success of our establishment and reports directly to senior management.

What you'll be doing

• Overseeing all daily restaurant operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation

• Maintaining the highest standards of customer service and ensuring guest satisfaction through direct engagement and problem resolution

• Managing staff performance, conducting training sessions, and fostering a positive team environment

• Monitoring and controlling food costs, beverage costs, and overall profitability of the restaurant

• Implementing and enforcing health and safety protocols and regulatory compliance standards

• Creating and managing reservation systems and dining flow to optimise capacity and customer experience

• Developing and executing promotional strategies to increase revenue and customer loyalty

• Coordinating with kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service delivery

• Maintaining stock levels and liaising with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery of products

• Handling customer complaints and concerns with professionalism and discretion

• Contributing to menu development and dining experience enhancements

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a restaurant management role within a full-service hospitality venue

• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams

• Excellent customer service orientation with demonstrated ability to handle challenging situations professionally

• Sound knowledge of hospitality industry best practices, health and safety regulations, and food service standards

• Proficiency in restaurant management systems and point-of-sale (POS) technology

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively across departments

• Organisational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment

• Problem-solving mindset with initiative and ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Relevant hospitality qualifications or certifications (preferred but not essential)

• Experience behind the bar and coffee machine is a MUST
