About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SMSF professional to join H&R Block as a Client Account Manager (SMSF). This role is responsible for building and retaining the Company's SMSF client base, increasing the number of clients served and growing revenue through exceptional relationship management and business development activities. The position would suit an experienced SMSF accountant who has managed a client portfolio, team or fee base and is looking to transition away from day-to-day technical production work into a role focused on client relationships, business growth and strategic account management.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow up leads, referrals and client enquiries received through H&R Block's retail office network, website and contact centre.
• Conduct meetings, phone calls and correspondence with prospective and existing clients regarding SMSF services.
• Prepare quotations and pricing proposals in accordance with company pricing policies.
• Manage client re-engagement activities and improve client retention outcomes.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships to drive satisfaction and long-term retention.
• Utilise CRM system to manage leads, opportunities and reporting.
• Contribute to marketing initiatives, client communications and business development activities.
• Build relationships with external referral partners and service providers.
• Support the successful onboarding of new clients and setup across relevant systems.
• Achieve revenue, growth and retention targets.

About You

 To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• An Accounting, Finance or Financial Planning qualification.
• Membership of CPA Australia, CA ANZ and/or the SMSF Association.
• A minimum of 8 years' experience in SMSF public practice accounting.
• Strong knowledge of SMSF compliance, taxation and accounting requirements.
• Experience using Class Super or similar SMSF administration software.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and business development capabilities.
• High levels of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality.
• The ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Highly regarded:

• SMSF Specialist Advisor (SSA) qualification.
• Experience managing a professional team and/or client fee base.
