About the role

We are looking for a suitably qualified Front Line Jumbo Operator to join the underground team in developing access and ore drives and perform other tasks assigned to extract ore while ensuring adherence to all statutory requirements and Company Safety, Health and Environmental standards and procedures in the Underground Operation.

Core responsibilities

• Experience in underground hard rock mines operating front line Epiroc and Sandvik Jumbos
• Ensure jumbo mining is conducted using the site safety procedures and according to mining plans
• Directing and coordinating jumbo offsiders and nippers to maximise production in a safe and efficient manner
• Proven experience with decline, incline and level development
• Accurately recording work completed, hazards requiring attention and machinery condition
• Liaising with mine production and engineering personnel

The roster is offered on a 7 days on, 7 days off rotating shift.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have previous experience in the mining industry as a front line jumbo operator.  You will have an excellent attitude with proven leadership qualities, good time management, organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work within a fast paced dynamic environment.
